Thursday evening July 23rd at 1930hrs thirteen members attended a search and rescue drill conducted by the fire line officers. The drill was once again held in a house scheduled for demolition located off of Zebley Road. Smoldering hay placed in a burn barrel was used to create a smoke condition on the second floor. Members rotated thru various scenarios searching, locating and removing simulated victims.
The drill was interrupted shortly after 2000hrs when the company was dispatched for an engine to assist Talleyville (NCC 25) on an apartment fire located in the 400 block of Foulk Road in Delaware. Engine 66-1 with a crew of six under the command of Chief Craig E. Small (66-9) made the response. The call was held to Talleyville units and the engine returned to training. The drill wrapped up around 2130hrs with members cleaning and restoring equipment. Next Thursday evening at 1830hrs before the monthly company meeting members will attend a walk thru of a new building addition added to the Booth's Corner Farmers Market.
