Saturday morning March 27th at 0834hrs the company was dispatched along with Talleyville (NCC 25), Boothwyn (40) and the Holloway Terrace (NCC 20) Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) to assist the Claymont Fire Co. (NCC 13) with an apartment building fire in the 900 block of Longview Court.

Engine 66-1 with a full staffing of six under the command of firefighter Mike Heacock made the response. Claymont Chief Mark Harris (13-8) arrived on scene reporting smoke showing from the attic area and established Claymont Command. Green Ridge (63) was added as a second Rapid Intervention Team (RIT). Engine 66-1's crew laddered the building and assisted with roof ventilation. Engine 66-1 was committed on scene for an hour before returning. Good job by two of our newer members Steve Pyle Jr. and Mike Natrin.
