Friday morning, July 11th, around 0245 a.m., the department & our assisting mutual aid companies were dispatched to the 1100 block of Hedgerow Drive in Bethel Township for a residential structure fire. Units arrived with an active fire located in a basement bedroom. Engine & Truck 66 both made the response. Engine 66 arrived as the third due engine & initiated a split lay, dropping 650 feet of 5-inch supply line up a driveway off of the 3200 block of Foulk Road & stretched a 300 foot 1 3/4 hose line to the rear basement entrance (C side). Crews made a quick knock on the fire, holding the fire to the basement bedroom. Deputy Chief Brett Small had the Bethel Township Command. Units were committed on scene for approximately two hours. No injuries occurred. Thank you to all of our mutual aid departments & fire police for their assistance. Photo credit & special thank you to Tappan Firephotos. |
