Thursday evening March 21st the company was dispatched as part of a mutual aid assignment to assist Upper Chichester (10) on a building fire. Squad & Truck 66 both made the response. Engine 10 arrived on the scene as the first due engine. Squad 66 arrived as the second due engine & Truck 66 arrived as the first due special service. A discarded cigarette ignited a mulch bed fire in the front yard & began to extend inside the residence. The fire was extinguished & there was no further extension. Bethel units were available within 45 minutes.

Upon clearing the Upper Chichester call crews headed to the Maris Grove senior living community located in Concord Township for a pre-plan presentation & walk-through of the community buildings. Attendees enjoyed a dinner provided by Maris Grove. Nick Irhin, Owner of Aniline Emergency Response Resources presented an overview of the Maris Grove buildings. Our department & mutual aid partners utilize the map books & software products Aniline provides. After the presentation, Maris Grove staff provided everyone with a walk-through of the community. The walk-throughs allow first responders to become familiar with fire department connections, fire alarm panel locations, roof/attic accesses, utility shut-offs, etc. Thank you to Concordville (59) for the invite, Nick Irhin for the presentation & the Maris Grove community & staff for their hospitality.
