Monday morning January 6th around 2:30am the company was dispatched as part of a mutual aid assignment to assist Concordville (59) with a building fire reported to be a garage with possible entrapment located on Summit Avenue in Concord Township.

Squad, Truck 66 and Utility 66 with 11 members all made the response. Engine 59-2 arrived on scene with a garage fully involved and no entrapment. Engine 59-2 advised they dropped their entire 5-inch supply hose bed from Beaver Valley Road and Summit Avenue and would need the next due engine to complete the lay to supply them with water. Squad 66 arrived and completed the lay dropping 400 feet of additional 5-inch supply hose. Engine 71 (Chester Heights) took the hydrant assignment and relayed water to Squad 66 who in turn supplied Engine 59-2.

With Engine 59-2’s crew handling the fully involved garage Squad 66’s crew placed a 1 ¾ hose line in service inside the residence. Bethel units were committed on scene for over 3 hours. Thank you to Broomall Fire Co. (53) for covering the Bethel local while our volunteers were committed and for assisting our members with cleaning and restoring our equipment.
