Ronald E. “Pop Pop” Windsor, age 78 of North Wilmington, DE died peacefully on January 30, 2017. Born to the late Luther & Martha Dawson Windsor, Ron was a lifelong resident of Wilmington, DE. A veteran, Ron served in the U.S. Army. Ron was a plumber by trade and was employed by EVCO Inc. for 30 years. Ron was 30-year active member of the Bethel Township Hose Co. No.1 and formerly served as Fire Police Captain. Ron enjoyed spending time with his family and summers at Wildwood Beach. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Ronald “Corky” Windsor Jr. who died in 2009 and 2 sisters, Bernice Russell and Alice Spence. Ron is survived by his wife of 56 years, Vivian L. Windsor, a son, Michael Windsor and a daughter, JoAnn (Steve) Abbott, mother-in-law, Anna Marie Wingate, 3 sisters-in-law, Ann McCartney, Ruth Rawlins and Marie Wingate, 5 grandchildren, Ashley, Brittany, Kimmy, Chrissy, and Allie and 2 great grandchildren, Rilee and Brayden. A visitation will be held on Friday February 3rd from 09:00AM-11:00AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Road Garnet Valley, PA 19060. Funeral service will follow at 11:00AM. Interment will follow funeral service at Lawn Croft Cemetery 1000 West Ridge Road, Linwood, PA 19061. Donations in Ron’s memory may be made to the Bethel Township Hose Co. No.1, 3737 Foulk Road, Garnet Valley, PA 19060.
