Saturday October 10th a team of members participated in the third annual “Battle of the Boulevard” softball tournament. The “Battle of the Boulevard” tournament was organized by the Milmont Park and Folsom fire companies. Tournament proceeds including food sales, raffle ticket sales and donations benefit the Nathan Speare Regional Burn Treatment Center at Crozer-Chester Medical Center in Upland. Fire and EMS organizations participating in the event included Folsom, Milmont Park, Crozer, Bethel, Chester, Darby and Tinicum Township. Games began at 9am and continued throughout the day. Bethel’s volunteers won 3 games before dropping a hard fought game 12-9 to Tinicum Township in the semi-finals. Thank you to the Milmont Park and Folsom fire companies for hosting this event and to all of the organizations who played for a great cause.
