Engine Assists Upper Chichester Twp.

Thursday morning July 24th at approximately 0630hrs Lower Chichester (39), Bethel (66), Claymont (NCC 13) along with the Talleyville (NCC 25) and Green Ridge (63) Rapid Intervention Teams (RIT) were dispatched to assist Upper Chichester fire companies (Boothwyn, Ogden and Reliance) with a house fire at 19 Winding Way in Upper Chichester Township.

Engine 40 arrived on scene with smoke showing, secured their own supply line and placed two hand lines in service. Engine 66-3 with a crew of 5 under the command of Chief Mike Heacock (66-9) made the response. Engine 66-3's crew assisted with throwing ground ladders, ventilation, overhaul and restoring Engine 40. Engine 66-3 worked on scene for approximately 2 hours under the command of Boothwyn Chief Ray Fuller Jr. (40-9).
