Save the date Sunday September 13, 2020 we will be holding our inaugural First Responders 5K Run/Walk. The event will be held on the grounds of the Garnet Valley Middle School. Proceeds benefit Bethel’s volunteer firefighters. Please see the attached link for more information and to register.

Engine Assists Claymont (NCC 13)

Monday evening May 25th Engine 66 responded to assist Claymont (NCC 13) with a building fire located in the 700 block of East Birchtree Lane. Claymont units arrived with an active basement fire. Engine 66 arriving as the third due engine dropped 500 feet of 5-inch supply line to establish a secondary water supply and established the initial RIT (Rapid Intervention Team) before being released by Claymont Command. No Caption Squad Handles Vehicle Fire

Tuesday afternoon May 19th at 3:30pm the company was dispatched to Goodley Road and Spring Meadow Lane for a vehicle fire. Squad 66 with a crew of 5 made the response. Squad 66 arrived on scene with an engine compartment fire and extinguished. Engine 66 also made the response and Bethel units were committed for 45 minutes.... (Full Story & Photos)

Engine Assists Eddystone (12) on Multi-Alarm Commercial Fire

Saturday evening May 2nd around 1030pm the company was dispatched for an engine to cover Eddystone Fire Co. (12) while they operated on the scene of a commercial building fire at the old Foamex International Inc. building located on the 1500 block of Second Street in Eddystone Borough.

Engine 66 with a crew of 4 relocated to Eddystone. Twenty minutes after arriving at Eddystone the Engine was called into the scene as part of a second alarm assignment. Engine 66's crew performed roof work & assisted with overhaul. Engine 66 was committed on scene for 4 hours before returning to Bethel.... (Full Story & Photos)

No Caption House Fire on South Garnet Mine Road

Assistant Chief Matt Hills Jr., April 28

Tuesday morning April 28th just after 8am the company along with Concordville (59), Ogden (55), Boothwyn (40), Reliance (61), Medic 66 (Crozer EMS) and the Lower Chichester (39) Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) were dispatched to the 1500 block of South Garnet Mine Road for a building fire.

Truck and Squad 66 with 9 members made the response. Medic 66 arrived and advised there was a furnace issue. Engine 59-3 dropped 300 feet of 5-inch supply line from the hydrant at Garnet Mine and Plaza Drive and deployed a 1 ¾ hose line. Truck 66 arrived on scene placed ground ladders, secured power to the furnace and removed the roof furnace vent. Squad 66 took the hydrant assignment at Garnet Mine Road and ...
