Squad & Truck Assist Talleyville (NCC 25)

Friday January 8th around 7:15pm, the company was dispatched to the 2200 block of Poplar Street in the Foxfield community for a gasoline odor in the residence. Squad and Truck 66 both made the response. Crews located gasoline leaking from a vehicle in the garage, secured the leak, ventilated the residence and were available within 30 minutes. A crew staffed the station overnight and no calls for service were received.
Saturday January 9th around 2:15pm the company was dispatched to assist Concordville (59) with an inside propane leak located on Temple Road in Concord Township. As our crews were preparing to respond, the company received another emergency to assist Talleyville (NCC 25) ... (Full Story & Photos)

Mutual Aid Assists

This afternoon around 2:15pm, the company was dispatched as part of a mutual aid assignment to assist Concordville (59) with a commercial building fire located on the 300 block of Byers Drive in Concord Township. Squad 66 made the response. Engine 59-2 arrived with a malfunctioning appliance and the assignment was held to Engine 59-2.
Just before 3:45pm, the company was dispatched to assist Talleyville (NCC 25) with a commercial building fire located on the 5300 block of Brandywine Parkway. Squad and Truck 66 both made the response. Squad 66 arriving as the second due engine dropped 600 feet of 5-inch supply line to Engine 25-6. "Letters to Santa" & Santa to Visit Bethel Township

With Thanksgiving next week, Christmas will follow and The Bethel Township Hose Co. #1 announces our 2nd annual “Letters to Santa.” Our “Letters to Santa” mailbox is located outside of our front doors. Letters will be accepted until Tuesday December 15, 2020 to guarantee delivery from Santa. Please clearly print your child/children’s name and address on the letters. Please email any questions regarding “Letters to Santa” to SantaLetters66@gmail.com.

New Engine 66

The Bethel Township Hose Co. No.1 has signed an agreement with Glick Fire Equipment Company Inc. to purchase a new Pierce Enforcer engine to replace our current 2000 Pierce Saber engine. This purchase continues our schedule of replacing apparatus every 20 years. We are expecting to take delivery in early summer 2021. Below are a few items that will be included on the new Engine 66:

Bunkroom Construction

The past couple weeks a few members have been hard at work converting a corner section of our building into a bunkroom. The bunkroom will serve as a sleeping quarters when our volunteers are available to staff an overnight duty crew. Thank you to all of the members who have chipped in helping to build the room.
