Engine Assists Upper Chichester (10)
BFC, June 07
Friday morning, June 5th, at approximately 10:30 a.m. Engine 66 assisted Upper Chichester Fire Department (10) on a residential structure fire. Engine 66 operated in both exposure buildings throughout the incident, performing fire suppression on the 3rd floor, checking for extension, and assisting with overhaul operations.... Member Completes NCC Firefighter I & II Academy Program
BFC, June 06
Congratulations to Travis Layne on completing the New Castle County Firefighter I & II Academy Program. Travis is a three-year member of our department & is completing his junior year at Garnet Valley High School. The Firefighter I & II program provides participants with the necessary training and skills to successfully meet the requirements of the NFPA 1001 standard for a Fire Fighter I & II, the NFPA 1006 Passenger Vehicle Rescue Awareness and Operations levels and the NFPA 1072 Hazardous Materials Awareness and Operations levels.
The academy runs for approximately 9 weeks, for two nights a week and every other weekend. Students will be eligible to obtain their National Pro-Board Firefighter ... (Full Story & Photos)

Engine Assists Concordville (59)
BFC, April 12
Sunday afternoon, April 12th, around 1445hrs, the company was dispatched to assist Concordville (59) on a large brush fire located in the woods off Baltimore Pike near The Hillside Motel. Engine 66 made the response and was committed for three hours assisting with extinguishment. This was the first of four calls for service the company answered for the day. Volunteer Service Tax Credit Program

Bethel Township Hose Company No.1 would like to thank Bethel Township for adopting Ordinance 244, establishing a Volunteer Service Tax Credit Program under Pennsylvania’s Act 172.
This program provides eligible volunteer firefighters with a 100% Township real estate tax credit when annual service requirements are met. The ordinance recognizes the time, dedication, and commitment required to serve the residents and businesses of Bethel Township.

Squad Assists Brandywine Hundred (NCC 11)
BFC, December 07
Saturday afternoon, December 6th, around 1315hrs, Squad 66 was dispatched to provide coverage for Brandywine Hundred (NCC 11) while they operated at a commercial structure fire in their district.
While enroute, the incident was upgraded to a Second Alarm, bringing Squad 66 to the fire scene. Upon arrival, Squad 66 was assigned to supply Wilmington Manor’s ladder (NCC 28) for roof operations. Squad 66's crew made their way to the roof and operated a handline, assisting with suppression efforts until the fire was brought under control.
