With the holiday season upon us, Santa Claus will be making a couple stops in Bethel Township prior to Christmas Day. The Bethel Township Parks and Recreation board have arranged for Santa to be at the Bethel Springs Elementary School Saturday December 8th from 11am until 1pm and later that Saturday evening at 5pm at the annual holiday tree lighting ceremony to be held at the Bethel Township Community Park 3271 Foulk Road. Fire company members will escort Santa around the township Sunday evening December 9th, Monday evening December 10th, Tuesday evening December 11th and Wednesday evening December 12th from 6pm until approximately 8pm each evening. Fire company members will be helping Santa by handing out candy canes. In the interest of safety the apparatus will not be stopping on main roads (Naamans Creek Road, Foulk Road, Garnet Mine Road and Route 322).
