House Fire in Bethel Township

Thursday evening September 21st just after 6:00pm the company along with Boothwyn (40), Ogden (55), Reliance (61), Talleyville (NCC 25), Medic 66-7 (Crozer EMS) and the Lower Chichester Township (39) Rapid Intervention Team were dispatched to the 3800 block of Highland Drive in Bethel Township for a building fire reported to be in the kitchen.

Truck 66, Engine 66-3 and Engine 66-1 with a total crew of 14 members made the response. Truck 66 arrived on scene with a 2 story single family dwelling with nothing showing and had their own water supply. Truck 66’s Officer (Scott Myers) completed his size up and advised there was an active fire in the kitchen. Truck 66’s crew split placing a 1 ¾ hose line in service and conducting a primary search of the residence. The fire was quickly knocked down and the homeowner confirmed all occupants were out. Responding mutual aid companies assisted with various tasks. Bethel units were committed on scene for 2 hours. Thank you to all of the responding mutual aid departments for their assistance.
