Thursday evening June 30th the company held our 2015 awards dinner meeting. Members enjoyed a buffet dinner served by our hall caterer Renzi’s Catering.

Both the G.Roy Dilling Award and Firefighter of The Year Awards were presented. G.Roy Dilling was one of the first administrative officers of the company and a past President of the company. G.Roy Dilling was very dedicated to the business details of the company that needed to be addressed. During his tenure, the company funded several pieces of apparatus. G.Roy Dilling’s wife Edna was also very active with the fire company ladies auxiliary including serving as the auxiliary’s President for numerous years. The G.Roy Dilling Award was created upon the sudden passing of Roy. The award is presented to a member of the company who has exemplified their efforts to better the company. Mike Natrin was awarded the 2015 G.Roy Dilling Award in recognition of his faithful and outstanding service to the company and community. Mike is a 7 year member and currently serving the company as Recording Secretary and Captain.
The Firefighter of The Year Award was created in 1973 and each year recognizes a member for their dedication to the firefighting (answering alarms, training, apparatus/equipment maintenance, etc.) aspects of the company. Scott Myers and Jeff Thomas were both recognized as the 2015 Firefighters of The Year for their faithful and dedicated service to the fire company. In addition to answering alarms Scott and Jeff logged many hours of training and assisted with equipment maintenance.
