Summer Weekend Crab Sales
JULY 29
- Crab sales will be held each weekend now thru Labor Day at the firehouse. Live or steamed jumbo crabs from Maryland and North Carolina will be available for purchase by the dozen or bushel. Prices depend on market prices. Sale hours are Fridays noon to 7pm, Saturdays noon to 7pm and Sundays 11am until 4pm. Sales are take-out only and you may reserve your bushel or dozen in advance by calling John at 610-348-5603. Proceeds benefit Bethel Fire Co. Brandywine American Legion Post 811

- The Brandywine American Legion Post 811 is looking for new members. Veterans of any United States armed services branch are eligible for membership. The Brandywine American Legion Post meets the third Thursday of each month at 1930hrs at the Bethel Township building located at 1082 Bethel Road Garnet Valley, PA 19060. Brandywine American Legion Post 811 activities include veterans hospital visits and participating in Memorial Day parades. Foxfield Development Public Safety Forum
JUNE 29
- Tuesday evening June 29th the Foxfield Development community invited the company along with the Bethel Township Police Department and Medic 66-7 (Crozer EMS) to their association meeting to discuss public safety. Engine 66-3 with a crew of five made the trip down to the Foxfield Development. Assistant Chief and Bethel Township Fire Marshal Brett Small discussed fire prevention and fire safety including fire extinguishers (different types, how to use, etc.). Fire prevention handouts were made available to the residents. Engine Assist on Working House Fire
JUNE 01
- Tuesday evening June 1st at 1837hrs Concordville (59), Chester Heights (71) and the Media (23) Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) were dispatched to 76 Bittersweet Drive in Concord Township for a house fire reported to be in the bedroom. Medic 59-7A arrived reporting a working alarm. Engine 71 arrived and dropped a supply line into the scene. Engine 59-2 arrived next with Concordville Assistant Chief Mike O'Brien (59-9C) establishing command. The assignment was upgraded adding Bethel (66), Aston-Beechwood (72), Edgmont (64) and Holmes (43) as an additional Rapid Intervention Team (RIT). Engine Assist on Working Restaurant Fire
MAY 01
- Saturday morning May 1st around 0815hrs Concordville (59), Longwood (Chester County 25)and the Media (23) Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) were dispatched to 1507 Wilmington West Chester Pike Jimmy John's Restaurant for a building fire. Medic 59-7A arrived with smoke showing from all sides. Engine 59-2 command requested Bethel (66), Chester Heights (71) and a second rapid intervention team (RIT) from Holmes (43) be added to the assignment. Engine 59-2 arrived with a working kitchen fire and smoke showing from all sides. Engine 59-2's crew placed a 1 ¾ hand line in service.
