Change Clocks and Check Smoke/Carbon Monoxide Alarms

The officers and members of the Bethel Township Hose Co. No. 1 remind everyone to replace the batteries in their smoke detector alarms and carbon monoxide detector alarms when turning back the clocks by one hour on November 2nd. Old or missing batteries are the most common reasons why smoke detector alarms fail. Test each smoke detector alarm on a monthly basis. WORKING smoke detector alarms greatly reduce the risk of loss of life in house fires.

Bethel Fire Co. Supports Marine Toys for Tots Foundation

The Bethel Township Hose Co. No.1 is supporting the United States Marine Corps Reserve annual Toys for Tots Program. The company is serving as a drop off location for new, unwrapped donated toys during November and December. The United States Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program will distribute the donated toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the local area communities. Engine Assists Upper Chichester Twp.

Thursday morning July 24th at approximately 0630hrs Lower Chichester (39), Bethel (66), Claymont (NCC 13) along with the Talleyville (NCC 25) and Green Ridge (63) Rapid Intervention Teams (RIT) were dispatched to assist Upper Chichester fire companies (Boothwyn, Ogden and Reliance) with a house fire at 19 Winding Way in Upper Chichester Township.

Engine 40 arrived on scene with smoke showing, secured their own supply line and placed two hand lines in service. Engine 66-3 with a crew of 5 under the command of Chief Mike Heacock (66-9) made the response. Engine 66-3's crew assisted with throwing ground ladders, ventilation, overhaul and restoring Engine 40. Crab Feast 2014

The fire company will be holding a all you can eat crab feast Saturday August 16th from 2pm to 9pm located on the firehouse grounds in our hall The Ballroom at Bethel 3737 Foulk Road Garnet Valley, PA 19060. Prices are $25 for adults and $15 for children 12 years of age and under. Price includes all you can eat crabs, spaghetti with crab gravy, barbeque chicken, meatballs and chicken fingers for kids. Root beer soda and iced tea are included. Bring your own beer.
