Summer Weekend Crab Sales

MAY 06 - Crab sales will be held each weekend beginning Friday May 11th thru Sunday September 9th at the firehouse. Live or steamed crabs from Maryland and Louisiana will be available for purchase by the dozen or bushel. Prices depend on market prices. Sale hours are Fridays noon to 7pm, Saturdays noon to 7pm and Sundays 11am until 4pm. Sales are take-out only and you may reserve your bushel or dozen in advance by calling John at 610-348-5603. Proceeds benefit Bethel Fire Co.

Engine Company Assist to Upper Chichester Twp.

APRIL 10 - Tuesday April 10th just after midnight the company was dispatched as part of a second alarm assignment to assist Upper Chichester (Boothwyn, Ogden and Reliance) on a building fire in the 400 block of Dogwood Circle in Cherry Tree Knoll. Rescue 40 had arrived on location with a two story middle of the row townhome with heavy fire showing from the rear of the building.

Engine 66-1 with a crew of 6 under the command of Chief Mike Heacock and Engine 66-3 with a crew of 5 under the command of Captain Dan Kirkner both made the response. Engine Assists Talleyville on Working High Rise Fire

MARCH 13 - Tuesday evening March 13th just after 1730hrs the company was dispatched along with Boothwyn (40) and Ogden (55) to assist Talleyville (NCC 25) on a working high rise fire at the Brandywine Hundred Apartments on the 400 block of Foulk Road.

Talleyville and assisting Delaware companies (Claymont, Brandywine Hundred, Five Points and Elsmere) arrived with a confirmed fire in a fourth floor apartment with entrapment. Engine 66-1 with a full crew of 6 under the command of Assistant Chief Brett Small (66-9A) made the response. Engine 66-1's crew assisted with ventilation and restoring apparatus.
